Bachata workshop

Bachata is a type of music that originated in the Dominican Republic early in 1900’s. The topics of the Bachata are often about love and heartache. The original name of the Bachata was also “‘ Amargue ’’ (bitterness). Since then, the Bachata has developed immensely and it is also a growing phenomenon here in the Netherlands and indispensable in the Dutch Latin dance scene. In addition to the traditional / Dominican style, other Bachata music and dance styles have emerged over time, including the Bachata Sensual and Bachata Moderna.

The traditional Bachata is best known for its Dominican flow and challenging footwork, the Bachata Sensual for its flowing body movements and the Bachata Moderna, especially for its fun turns.

During this workshop a merger of the 3 styles emerges. You can do this workshop as a couple, but also solo!
